ARIA appoints Senior Portfolio Manager, listed international equities
ARIA Chief Investment Officer, Alison Tarditi, has announced the appointment of Martin McComish as senior portfolio manager, listed international equities at the $15.9 billion super fund for Australian Government employees.
McComish has extensive experience in funds management gained over fifteen years working in a range of roles, including at Commonwealth Funds Management (CFM) and Total Risk Management (TRM) – the precursor organisations to ARIA. Most recently, he was head of implemented equities at Queensland Investment Corporation for five years and, following that, established his own consulting practice in late 2006.
McComish has a Bachelor of Economics and is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
In making the announcement, Alison Tarditi said: “This is a key role, responsible for our investments in listed international developed and developing-market equities, which have a joint strategic asset allocation of twenty per cent of funds under management.
Martin brings very complementary skills to our team and we are all looking forward to working with him in continuing to build our investment portfolio and deliver consistently superior performance for our members.”
